Following in the tradition of automotive excess, the 2025 Scottish Torque Show had more to offer than previous years, with 155 participating vehicles and eight fixed wing and rotary aircraft flying in and out all day, landing on a specially prepared airstrip.

Sited in pride of place on the oval lawn in front of the house, the organisers had managed to persuade Gordon Murray Automotive to exhibit one of their very rare T50 Supercars powered by a Cosworth V12 engine. As a surprising contrast, the Fife-based hauliers Strathore Plant Hire were awarded the Spirt of the Show Award by the sponsors, Kinross 4×4, for their twin Scania16 litre S 650 trucks. By a remarkable coincidence it was discovered that both Scania trucks and the GMA T50 shared a power output in the region of 650 BHP. Although the Scania’s combined torque is in excess of 6,000 NM.

Vehicle owners and their guests were treated to a spectacular air show held in the adjoining sheep parks which involved eight aircraft arriving and departing all day, mainly drawn from Fife and Perth Airports, including a Robinson R66 helicopter and an historic Cessna O-1 Bird Dog liaison and observation aircraft which served its military career in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.

Some well-presented historic military vehicles were also on display including a 1943 Willys Jeep which is believed to have been delivered by landing craft on the Normandy beaches on D-Day, sporting a tell-tale aperture for a snorkel. Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2, guests who attended the historic tours of Broomhall House were shown wartime memorabilia recording the Battle of the Forth, when twelve Junkers Ju 88 and three Heinkel HE 111 bombers intent on sinking British ships were intercepted by eleven Spitfires of the combined 602 Squadron RAF (City of Glasgow) and 603 Squadron RAF (City of Edinburgh).
